Snowflake Challenge: Day 9
In your own space, create a fanwork. A drabble, a ficlet, or an icon, art or meta or a rec list. A picspam. Something.

Decided to make a fanmix. Something I wish I had an excuse to do more often. I also slapped together a half-assed graphic for it. It kind of tells a life story, but it's widely open to interpretation.

1. Red Flag
by Billy Talent

Like a smallest bee packs a sting
Like a pawn checkmates a king
We'll attack at the crack of dawn

Build a ladder if there's a wall
Don't be afraid to slip and fall
Speak for yourself or they'll speak for you

2. Free
by VAST

I want to hold air in my hand
Own the one thing you can't buy
Nothing to win nothing to lose
It's time to be what I need to be
I'm gonna run from everything
Everything that holds me down
Nothing to win nothing to lose
It's time to be what I need to be
You can't tell me what to do anymore

3. Prayer of the Refugee
by Rise Against

Keep quiet no longer
We'll sing through the day
Of the lives that we've lost
And the lives we've reclaimed

Don't hold me up now
I can stand my own ground
I don't need your help now
You wont let me down, down, down

4. Soil to the Sun
by Cage the Elephant

Come one come all
Come see it believe it
The truth will shine
If you open you eyes
And you'll see it move
As it moves on the masses
The weak will rise and give birth to the sky

5. Love What You Do
by The Divine Comedy

Living isn't easy
No need to make it harder
Stretch yourself until you snap
Ditch your superstitions
Lose your inhibitions
Tell them you're not coming back

If you want it, you can have it
If you need it, go and get it
Whatever it is you've got to love it

6. Death or Glory
by The Clash

Death or glory, becomes just another story
Death or glory, just another story

We gonna march, a long way
Fight, a long time
We got to travel, over mountains
Got to travel, over seas
We gonna fight, your brother
We gonna fight, 'til you lose
We gonna raise, trouble
We gonna raise, hell

7. Revolution [LOVE version]
by The Beatles

You say you want a revolution
Well you know
We'd all want to change the world
You tell me that it's evolution
Well you know
We'd all want to change the world
But when you talk about destruction
Don't you know that you can count me out
Don't you know it's gonna be alright

8. Temper Temper
by Envy on the Coast

So I bottled it up and kept the words to myself
And let the anger collect for a better day
When the words are aged
The war is waged
And you'll watch me blow
I can be your powder keg
If you can be my fuse

Don't, don't, don't, don't, don't worry doll
I only kill him in my sleep
Knock, knock, knock, knock, knock at your door
You know I will send him out to sea

9. Peacemaker
by Green Day

Call up the captain hey hey
Hey hey hey hey hey
Death to the lover that you were dreaming of

This is a stand off
A Molotov cocktail's
On the house
You thought I was a write off
You better think again
Call the peacemaker hey hey
Hey hey hey hey hey
I'm gonna send you back to the place where it all began

10. Without a Fight
by Hooobastank

This is our time
Get up off the ground
Take what is mine
We're not going down
Without a fight

Let's go, the curtain's opened
Get this show on the road
I want to feel my heart explode
No more procrastination
Dragging my feet below
Now I want everyone to know

11. Rooftops (A Liberation Broadcast)
by Lostprophets

All the love I've met
I have no regrets
If it all ends now, I'm set

Will we make a mark this time
Will we always say we tried

Standing on the rooftops
Everybody scream your heart out

12. What's Left of the Flag
by Flogging Molly

For there are many ways to kill a man they say
With bayonet, axe, or sword
But son a bullet fired from a shapeless guise
Leaves but the shell of a Thompson gun

Walk away me boys, walk away me boys
And by morning we'll be free
Wipe that golden tear from your mother dear
And raise what's left of the flag for me
